Do you wake up with just enough time to get to work? Do you only do work your boss assigns you? Do you only go to the gym when you feel like it? Are you living your life in reaction to everything around you? Perhaps you are just bouncing from one demand to another. Are you happy or fulfilled? What if you can live a life that you design? It's time to create the life that you want, starting today. Tony Robbin's RPM system will help you focus your time on building the life you have always wanted.

Creating Your Life Plan

Anthony Robbins "Rapid Planning Method" Time of Your Life Program

Do you know a person living their life by design? One of those people with a goal and keeps going about the progress they are making towards it. Do you think they are happier than the people who live in reaction? Would you prefer to live a life you designed or a life of response? So many people try to manage their time without having a plan for their lives and then wonder why they feel lost. A life plan usually has two main areas: personal and professional. Under each area of management are categories that you want to improve for the rest of your life, such as your health, finances, relationships, or career. Those who live fulfilled lives do so by balancing progress in all improvement categories.

Think of your categories as spokes on a wheel. The center is 0%, and the outer circle is 100%. How well would that wheel work at 5 miles an hour if the spokes were at different percentages? What would happen if you sped up to 100 miles an hour? While it sounds crazy, that is what some people try to do. They want to get to their destination faster, but they are not trying to balance their life, resulting in being stranded on the side of the road.

Can you manage that which you do not measure? Have you ever successfully got in shape when your goal was "I want to lose some weight"? Or became financially independent when your goal was "I want to be rich"? With specific goals for each improvement category, you can be inspired by your progress as you track it. So what are the primary areas you must constantly focus on for fulfillment?

After you create specific categories of improvement, it's time to add some emotional juice. What are the words that provoke you? Words have the power to change how you feel about something. Imagine if I was setting you up with a mate and told you this person is nice. How does that make you feel? What if, instead, I said this person is delicious! Does that change how you think about this setup? Find the words that motivate you in each of your categories.

As an entrepreneur, have you ever felt like you are spinning your wheels but not making any progress? Have you ever struggled to explain your goals to employees or investors? Tony Robbin's method of creating your top-line goals will help you organize what you really want, make real progress, and clearly explain what you need and why. This is one of the most valuable skills of an entrepreneur of any level, and it's usually overlooked until a lot of time is wasted going down the wrong path. Take some time to figure out your ultimate goals.

This process may not change your life overnight, but if you follow his method, it will change how you live it. Perspective is everything because it allows you to turn a rainy day into an opportunity. If you can chunk all those action items you hate to do into a result that you are passionate about, it will change the game for you, and eventually, you will be able to live day to day, focused only on the things most important to you.
