What are my current milestone goals?
Happy new year! I say that now since this is my first post of the year. If you have been following me then I am a bit ashamed to admit I did not even come close to my milestone goals? I've spent the last month or so reexamining myself and rebuilding my mental strength because I may get beat but I'll never stay down. Over the next few weeks, I will be gathering more detail information and advice before setting my next milestone goals.
Comment below with your process of creating goals because I can use all the help I can get. Thanks!
Progress & failure made this past 13 weeks
I have declared on this very blog and to countless people that I will find a way to fund my life and business without getting a traditional job. I have had so many jobs and so little personal success than I contributed my failures to the traditional job. It has been proven by countless successful entrepreneurs that having a job and starting a business part-time is an effective strategy. I stubbornly wanted to try once again to do things differently. Well, I did not obtain sustainable success. This is yet another moment I thank God that I am married because it was my wife, who has been supporting me all throughout 2019, who finally got me to see my strategy was not working. So here I am again, looking to go back to the traditional job.
I'm reminded of a quote by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "If you can't fly then run if you can't run then walk if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward." With this inspiration, I am adjusting my goals, picking myself up, and continuing the path of my passion.
Outcome goals for this week
This week I need to lock down a consistent income, even if that means getting a traditional job, that will cover my family's basic expenses. Leaning on my work history and knowledge of myself I know I need to find a job that I can be fully committed to my job duties while on the clock but then be just as committed to by business on my time. Over the next two weeks, I will be creating a new milestone with more research and advice.
What do you think? Do you have any helpful tips about my progress or lack thereof? What are some goals you are working on? What method do you use to stay motivated and successful?
